Stewart Gandolf, MBA Stewart Gandolf, MBA, Founding Partner –– Over the years Stewart has personally marketed and consulted for over 1,457 healthcare clients, ranging from private practices to multi-billion dollar corporations. Additionally, he has worked with a variety of America's leading companies, including Citicorp, J. Walter Thompson, Grubb & Ellis, Bally Total Fitness, Pacific Bell, Wells Fargo and Chase Manhattan. He is a frequent author and speaker on the topic of healthcare marketing. Today, Stewart also acts as HSS's primary Creative Director and Business Developer. Lonnie Hirsch Lonnie Hirsch, Founding Partner – – Lonnie has consulted for over 2,000 health care clients during his 20-year career. After rising to become President of the world's largest healthcare practice marketing company, Lonnie co-founded Healthcare Success Strategies with Stewart Gandolf. Sandy Jamie, Director of Client Services - Account Managers are the people who lead our clients' projects, and Jamie leads our Account Managers and creative teams. She also handles many of our operational issues and works directly with some of our clients. Jamie has been with us since we started the company, and her entrepreneurial spirit molded seamlessly with the mentality of our talented community of professionals. Jamie also leads the operational side of our corporate relationships including Henry Schein, Invisalign and the American College of Prosthodontists. Her charisma and leadership abilities are natural gifts. She is a believer of continual education and the pursuit of happiness which, for her, includes her new marriage, surfing, water polo, teaching kids and training horses.

Sandy Steve Smith, Senior Consultant, Writer and Account Manager - With over 25 years of marketing experience - nine years as the former Vice President of Marketing of a leading healthcare marketing company - Steve has consistently developed effective strategies and tactics to help fuel the growth of countless healthcare enterprises. During his career, Steve has written and/or created successful campaigns for nearly every marketing channel used in healthcare. Steve is on the marketing committee of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) and is the marketing columnist for the RBMA Bulletin. Steve has contributed marketing articles to numerous healthcare publications, including Sleep Review, Physician’s Money Digest, Dentist’s Money Digest, Radiology Business Journal and more. Steve is the creator of “Ten Seconds to Great Customer Service™,” a training program used across the country. Steve is also an accomplished speaker, trainer and journalist: Since 1998, he has written a weekly column on family issues for the Daily Pilot, a Los Angeles Times community newspaper serving cities in Orange County, CA, and is a past contributor to the Los Angeles Times and many regional magazines.


Sam J., Managing Editor – Writer, editor, entrepreneur and healthcare marketer, Sam is responsible for much of our published content - on our website, blog, e-newsletters, as well as feature material in medical & dental industry publications. He is an experienced marketing and marcom resource guy, and a multi-channel advisor for practical and cost-effective bottom line results. Sam has a unique business background including the three practical sides of business communications, including from the media, the agency and the client perspective. Industry experience includes healthcare, technology, transportation, and banking & finance sectors.

Sandy Sandy, Client Account Manager - True to the entrepreneurial spirit interlaced throughout all aspects of Healthcare Success Strategies, Sandy works directly with clients and also manages our team of Account Managers. For the past 18 years, Sandy has worked for traditional advertising agencies, in corporate sales, and more recently in healthcare marketing. Her experience with Stewart and Lonnie spans over 6 years, beginning with a congruent vision of practice marketing - a personal and customized approach to practice growth through ethical marketing and training. With her love of adventure and compassion for nature, Sandy is devoted to her family, to her community and to the success of your practice.


Michelle Charles, Media Guru and Account Manager
Charles DeNatale has over 30 years of experience in media planning, buying and research with specific expertise in national, regional and local direct response broadcast strategies and analysis. He previously was media director of Christopher Thomas Associates and Lobo & Petrocine in New York and is currently overseeing and managing all media plans and budgets for more than 30 clients. During his career, he was instrumental in the successful multi-million-dollar media launch of the popular diet supplement, Metabolife. He has also served as a marketing consultant for AT&T, Playboy Enterprises and Tribune Entertainment, helping to develop revenue-generating strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and media outlets. Charlie attended Upsala College and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.

Charles strategically plans an annual media budget of 25 million dollars combined for various clients with a combination of TV, radio, print, out of home, Direct Mail and Internet advertising. In addition, Charles has worked with numerous medical practices for Healthcare Success Strategies providing successful recommendations and implementation of marketing strategies.
Michelle George Hardman, Video Producer – Since 1990, George has worked in video and film production. He started his career with commercial production in the art department then advanced into all facets of video production. He takes an "old school" approach to film & video production while applying the most up-to-date technology. His concept is based on quality professional craftsmanship, with a fully trained crew, offering digital broadcast-quality multimedia video and High Definition. George is on the cutting edge of technology with streaming video to the internet and building advanced DVD productions.
George has traveled to 60 countries and has produced numerous corporate videos, commercials and 3 adventure documentaries,. He is the winner of numerous awards including a 2009 Communicator award. To put it simply, “I have a true passion for story telling. Using todays technology lets me be more creative than ever before."

Cassie Chase, Art Director, Web Designer and SEO Expert - As with many of our Medical Marketing All Stars, Chase is an exceptionally talented and versatile individual; someone we've worked with for many years. As a result, he is one of our primary "go-to" creative resources for Internet marketing expertise; working with our clients as well as our own corporate online marketing. Chase has nearly 20 years experience in advertising as a designer, art director, and creative director, and more than 11 years in web development and 5 years in search engine optimization strategies and implementation. In addition to Internet design and development for our clients, Chase frequently designs ads and print collateral materials. In addition to working with hundreds of healthcare clients, Chase has a strong background in the pharmaceutical, technology, real estate and tourism industries.


Michelle Brent Longo, Internet Advertising Specialist – With more than a dozen years of experience in the industry, Brent is a highly skilled expert in the challenging (and sometimes mystifying) world of Internet advertising. He skillfully engineers successful pay-per-click campaigns for clients nationwide, including online ad copywriting, strategy, keyword selection, geographic selection, day part selection, tracking, call recording and much more. Brent’s background includes internet advertising consultant for some of the major online business names including Verizon, Idearc Media, and SuperMedia. He’s one of the leaders in pay-per-click sales and an award-winning customer service representative. Brent is married with 3 children (2 girls and a boy), and he enjoys racquetball, baseball, and basketball.

Marisa, Art Director and Web Specialist - In the midst of traveling and studying art and photography in Florence, Italy, Marisa obtained a Bachelor's Degree in graphic design from Chapman University. Over the past 10 years, Marisa has elevated her creative talent to clearly illustrate your practice's vision. As both a freelance artist and as an Art Director for the country's largest healthcare marketing firm, she has gained invaluable marketing knowledge that she can offer your practice today. In her spare time (and she does have some) Marisa volunteers for the ALS Association, a nonprofit organization to further research and assist those with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Steve, Art Director and Web Specialist - Steve is a seasoned professional with a modern design sensibility. While his portfolio consists of award winning work, his first priority is to produce results for clients - marketable results that translate into increased revenues. Time and again he has proven his ability to integrate his expertise with a practice. He centers his attention on a client's needs, goals, budgetary considerations, and aims to identify with the client's company philosophy and mission, and then translates that into an excellent finished product. Steve's experience with art direction on hundreds of campaigns, in a variety of healthcare modalities, gives him unique insight on how to creatively represent healthcare practices. In addition to healthcare, Steve has worked with past clients such as American Express, Home Depot, ITT Sheraton and Paul Brown Hawaii.

Simona, Art Director - A talented Art Director with years of experience, Simona helps to create unique and compelling design campaigns for Healthcare Success Strategies. For almost a decade, Simona has worked in association with Lonnie and Stewart and has served over 800 clients in the healthcare field alone. In addition to her expertise in healthcare marketing, she has also worked as a Senior Art Director for a major casino as well as an Internet search engine company. Simona began her career with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in design, and fell in love with art upon frequenting museums as a child.

Cassie

Cassie, Art Director - We found Cassie on a referral from one of our favorite writers. (We've been thankful ever since.) Cassie brings us terrific print design and is a true team player. Cassie brings us over 15 years of medical advertising experience, and has won numerous awards for medical advertising including an ADDY, a Grand Global and multiple MMA Awards.

Prior to working with us, Cassie worked for many healthcare clients and other clients, including Inamed, Advanced Medical Optics, Thoratec, Zeiss, MedImmune, Sonata, GenProbe, St. Joseph's Hospital, Bristol Park Medical, Genentech, ViroLogic, Biosite, Bridge Medical, Vytra Healthcare, Lindora, Innovation Sports and Ingram Micro. Her work also includes well-known consumer brands including Behr Paint, Samsung, DirectTV, and the National Football League.

Today, Cassie lives somewhere fabulous (but really hard-to-find) in the Southwest with her husband, daughter, and son.

Patty, Account Manager - Patty has specialized in healthcare accounts over the past seven years, including work with large, multi-specialty professional groups. Additionally, she has worked with several advertising agencies where-over about 20 years or so-her industry experience included medical device (Cardiac Science Corporation; St. Jude Medical), radiology, franchise accounts (Fantastic Sams, Subway, Uniglobe Travel, Century 21, Prudential), consumer products (Mission Foods, Guerrero Beverages, California Avocados, Flower Fields), and the hospitality industry (Marriott International, Renaissance and Courtyard Properties).

Anne, Senior Writer - Anne has more than 17 years of experience writing search engine-optimized Web content and marketing collateral for Fortune 500 corporations, private practices, professional services firms, government organizations and small businesses. Clients include leading organizations such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, American Express, Transamerica, Tenet Health Systems and Nextel. She specializes in the medical, dental, legal, financial services and technology fields. Additionally, Anne's ghostwritten and feature articles have appeared in consumer, trade and custom published magazines including: Entrepreneur's Business Start-Ups, Daily Variety, Working Woman, National Underwriter, Canadian Underwriter, Investment Advisor, Business Continuity, Metro Quarterly, Environmental Protection, and the Small Business Tax News.

Christine M., Senior Writer - Christine is yet another writer who has worked on healthcare practice marketing for years. She has a very intellectual approach to writing, and asks all the right questions up front necessary to deliver stellar results for our clients.

Cassie Lisa, Copywriter - For over 20 years Lisa has been providing marketing communications strategy and writing services for a range of clients including Genentech, Delta Dental, Children's Hospital Oakland, Valley Medical Center, NeilMed Pharmaceuticals, Medical Park Eye Center, Wells Fargo, Pacific Bell, Sprint and the Conrad Foundation. Her work has included capability and sales brochures, websites, print ads, speeches, video scripts, white papers, and articles. She is the author of nine books on home remodeling and has extensively researched and written on the subject of aging for national and local publications. Lisa began specializing in health care after helping family members and friends cope with unusual and debilitating medical conditions, giving her a profound appreciation for how well-written information products can empower patients and improve their outcomes.

Holly, Senior Writer - At the risk of being redundant, Holly has worked with us since the late 1990s on hundreds of private healthcare practice campaigns. Holly is particularly thoughtful in her approach to writing, and comes up with excellent, clear and motivating copy. Holly is also an accomplished author, having begun her career writing for Entrepreneur Magazine. She also "ghost writes" books. In her spare time, Holly plays poker and roots for the LA Dodgers.

Meredith, Senior Writer - Like almost all of our writers, we've worked with Meredith for many years. We love her both for her writing and can-do spirit. Always honing her craft, Meredith is also one of our most prolific writers. In fact, Meredith has written more campaigns for doctors than nearly anyone on the planet. A few years ago Meredith moved to the Midwest with her husband, but thanks to email, faxes and a lot of phone calls, we are able to keep her as busy as she wants to be.

Allison, Senior Copywriter - Like most of our writers (we aren't making this up), Allison has worked with us for many years on hundreds of campaigns. His experience includes healthcare industry clients UnitedHealthCare, Kaiser Permanente, Medtronic CardioVascular, Dental Masters Laboratory, Redwood Toxicology, Western University Health Sciences, Exclusive Vein Care, and many others. Greg has also worked with clients in manufacturing, insurance, financial services, high-tech, real estate, agriculture, tourism and film/video. Mike, Really Senior Direct Response Writer - Mike and Stewart started their careers together over 20 years ago (1986), and they have remained friends and worked together often ever since. Throughout his career, Mike has specialized in direct response writing (meaning writing that sells). Mike has written over 1,000 campaigns, both B2B and B2C. In addition to working with our corporate and doctor clients, Mike has worked for United Airlines and many of America's largest financial institutions.

Patrick Hasson - Commercial Director/Writer/Producer - Patrick is our "go-to" person for most of our client commercials and other video needs. Patrick is a rare individual with a terrific creative sensibility (concept, "eye," writing, shooting) who can also manage the many people involved with producing a video or commercial. Because he's a friend, he is happy to work with us on private practice-level budgets. When he's not working with us, he works in Hollywood as an award-winning writer/director of feature films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos. Past clients include New Line Cinema, ESPN, Animal Planet, Warner Bros, TLA Releasing, Seton Leather International and the City of Santa Monica.

Rick, Print Broker - When our clients need printing, we typically rely on Rick. Rick is expert at both quality control and managing complicated print jobs. Because we do so much volume through Rick, we have "leverage" with the printers we work with, and also are able to negotiate competitive rates on behalf of our clients.
