Private Resort Meeting and Marketing Plan

Some practitioners prefer to mix business with pleasure, and they tell us they get some great tax breaks as well (see your CPA for tax advice). If that sounds like you, we can meet you nearly anywhere in the world. For example, we have met practitioners in Maui, Australia, Hilton Head, Sweden, Tuscany and on cruises.

The only real difference between this Program and our more traditional On-Site Program is that we won't get to see your facility, you'll have some additional travel costs, you'll probably get some additional tax breaks and you'll have more fun.

Our Resort Option includes preparatory phone consultation, private consulting, practice analysis, strategic planning, recommendations, CD set and a custom marketing plan.

Step 1: You'll start by helping us to help you
(Pre-Meeting)

We'll provide you with a detailed questionnaire and instructions to help you organize the vital information we'll need.

You'll tell us all about your goals, your strengths, your community, your budget and anything else you feel vital for us to understand you. Allow up to 2 hours to complete your materials, though much of the work can be delegated to staff.

Step 2: In-depth phone consultation with your consultant
(Pre-Meeting)

(Scheduled at your convenience, 60 to 90 minutes)

Upon receipt and review of your practice preparation materials, we'll schedule a phone appointment between you and your consultant (either Lonnie Hirsch or Stewart Gandolf). If you have partners, they should also participate.

During your phone meeting, your consultant will review the materials you've provided and ask you many probing questions about your practice and what you want to achieve. He will also work with you to define a budget, and will probably share some preliminary ideas with you as well.

Finally, he'll create an agenda for your meeting based upon the items you discuss, and if necessary, confirm any travel logistics.

Step 3: Behind the scenes, we'll craft a "rough draft" of your marketing plan
(Pre-Meeting)

Based upon your input and our many years of experience, your consultant will craft a "rough draft" of your marketing plan. In some instances, he will be able to create a very detailed draft based upon your input to-date; in other cases, questions will arise which he will "tie down" when you meet face-to-face. Either way, we'll use this draft as a starting point for our conversation when we meet.

Step 4: You can listen to CDs to "get up to speed"
(Pre-Meeting, Optional)

We'll provide you with a comprehensive CD set that you can listen to at your convenience - in the car, at home or wherever. These CDs have the best, most on-target material available anywhere about private practice marketing.

By the time you meet your consultant at the resort, you will be "up to speed" about the most critical marketing strategies, so that your time together will be as productive as possible.

Step 5: Meeting Day

You will spend most of your time working directly with your consultant to refine your marketing plan.

Our primary objective for the day is not just to educate you, but to work with you until your marketing plan fits your practice like a glove. Your final plan will contain specific strategies, tactics and timings, all built around your budget.

You and your consultant will also discuss specific next steps and implementation. After all, the last thing you need is a great plan but no ability to get it accomplished.

Step 6: HSS can help you implement your marketing plan (Optional)

Some of the recommended strategies in your plan will be low or no cost; others will require some investment. Of those that require expenditure, your consultant will recommend which ones you should execute in-house, which you can outsource to Healthcare Success Strategies, and which (if any) you should outsource to a third party.

We can help you with creative services (ads, brochures, websites, etc.), printing, ongoing consulting and follow-up, media planning, staff training, search engine optimization and other services.
